Help Maddy & his family open a family business

Donation protected
Hi,

My name is Leela. My husband and I recently visited India, where we met Maddy.

He was born in Kathmandu, he is an adopted child and now lives in a small village in the Nepalese Mountains.
His father is a skilled tailor from this village. This is how Maddy fell in love with the craft. Maddy is married to a wonderful woman and they have a little boy together.

During the tourist season Maddy makes the 1000km journey away from his home & family in Nepal, to Dharamshala so he can make some money to support his wife and child.
He earns less than £100 a month, half of which will go to rent and living expenses in Dharamshala, and the rest he will send home to his family. He rarely makes enough to be able to visit his wife and child back home, or put any aside for his future business dreams.

His dream has always been to open his own clothing shop. when we met him in India he was working for a chain of shops, skilfully making all the clothes however unable to design anything himself as the owner only wanted to make ''what the tourists demanded''.

With the small salary he receives, the dream of opening his own shop is just that, a dream that would be unlikely to happen without a little extra help.

Maddy will use any money we are able to raise for him to invest in fabrics and finally be able to rent a location for his shop.
He has also said that if his business ends up doing well he would love to bring some others from his village and give them good jobs in his shop.

We would really love to help Maddy and his family set up a shop, and a livelihood.

To start a family business that could last for generations.

Here are some words from Maddy;

'' I'm 28 years old and I have been making clothes for almost 11 years now.

I'm an adopted child! But I got very good family, I have a father, mother, one small sister, my wife and my son.

My father is a Tailor Master, he is manufacturing the clothes, the way he makes clothes I loved it and I some how I feel like I also can, that's how I learned from my father.

Tailoring is my families work , my grand father use to do tailoring, my father is doing and I also. We have to make our work important. That's why tailoring is important for me.

I would like to create my own design and make the customer happy on it, do business world overall one day!

I'll like to invest in my fabric, clothes, and if my business doing good then I'm gonna bring some good tailoring people from my village and give them good job. ''
