Help Lynn Wheel To Higher Ground

My Mother, Lynn Cooke, is usually the last person to ask for help and the first person to need it. She's a widowed and retired teacher living with MS and Lupus. Right now, she's completely reliant on a powerchair to just exist. It's her legs. And while we have hired help to keep her sense of independence, we have not budgeted for the flood that took her wheelchairs last night. Her apartment in Venice, Fl is submerged in water and though the fire fighers saved the life of her two dogs, her wheelchairs are dead. We are boarding the dogs for the time being at Lemon Bay Animal Hosptial and mom is at Venice Memorial Hospital under care after suffering a heart episode waiting for EMS.  Any money collected is going directly to Lynn Cooke, who has limited income and is unable to work. Right now we need to: find a hotel to put her once she's discharged from the hospital, find a long term residency, get the dogs out of the boarding kennel, and replace her wheelchairs. Motel 6 refused to take her since "she couldn't walk through the doors".  Medical costs aside, this flood is a nightmare for her. Mom's had a rough go at life and she always keeps trucking. I'm hoping we can help her along her journey. It's not over yet.
