Help Luisa's family to relocate for her treatment

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

I come to you today asking for your kindness, generosity and support for a family that is enduring unimaginable challenges. My dear friend's precious angel, Luisa, was born on March 16, 2023, with a congenital defect known as Cystic biliary atresia, leading to Cirrhosis of the liver. This innocent soul is in a race against time, waiting for a life-saving liver transplant. If she is lucky enough to receive a transplant, Luisa will be on medication for the rest of her life. And in the worst case scenario there is no liver donor in time, doctors say the heartbreaking reality is that she may not live to see her third birthday.

Luisa's condition is critical, and her doctors have placed her at the top of the transplant list. The urgency has led them to pursue a partial liver transplant to increase Luisa’s chance of survival, whereby liver stem cells would be taken from a living donor and transplanted into Luisa. Both options require surgery and several months in hospital under medical care.

I reach out to you today not just to share Luisa's story but to seek your support in ensuring that her family can focus on their little warrior princess without the burden of financial strain.

The family resides in Pisek, South Czech, while the medical expertise Luisa requires is in Prague, a two-hour drive away. This means that for Luisa’s ongoing medical, they will need to relocate to Prague post-surgery for at least three - five months for Luisa's rehabilitation and observation. The costs of accommodation, whether it be an AirBnB or a hotel, are substantial, and we aim to raise $35,000 AUD to alleviate this financial strain on Luisa’s parents. It is for this reason that I have started this GoFundMe page – to rally our collective support and make a significant difference in their lives.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 AUD, but any contribution, large or small, will make a meaningful impact. Every dollar brings them one step closer to alleviating the financial stress that accompanies such a challenging journey.

These are humble people facing an extraordinary battle, and Luisa, their little warrior princess, deserves every chance at a healthy life. Unfortunately, as the Czech Republic is not on the supported country list for GoFundMe, we are unable to directly start a fundraiser for them. However, we refuse to let this obstacle hinder our support.
