Help Louise Fix Her Knees

My sweet Louise is a 6 year old rescue pitbull from Georgia. Since last year, she has torn both of her cranial cruciate ligaments (CCL) in both knees (one about 14 months ago, and the second just last week), which renders a dog lame. Because she is young and active, the vet recommended a TPLO procedure to restore her knee to its normal function. They also diagnosed her with a degenerative condition and told me there was a 50/50 chance that her second knee would rupture as well, and it did so last week - about 14 months after her first surgery.

Last year I opened a Care Credit account so I could pay for the surgery and rehab over time. Between the surgery, follow up visits, and physical therapy, I paid $3,600, which still has not been fully paid off and the vet has estimated this surgery costing another $2800 to $3000 just for the surgery - this does not include the rehab which costs around $1200. I don't have enough space on the Care Credit account to pay for this surgery and  now I am relying on the kindness of strangers.

Louise is the sweetest, most Zen dog, you'll ever meet. We call her Buddha. She spent the first part of her life chained outside to a porch 24/7 until her owners moved and left her to die. A neighbor called a local rescue group and reported that a dog was chained up outside and they believed the owners to have moved. The rescue group came and got her, and through one of their weekly adoption events at Petsmart, she found me! Here's her face the first time we met:



She's one of the most expressive dogs I've ever met. She got an infection after her first knee surgery last year, and was trying to tell me it hurt:

Here are the bills:

- Last year's surgery with physical therapy: $4,072.87
- This year's surgery: $2,825.00
- Physical therapy quote: $950 - $1250 depending on the types of therapy, amount, etc.
- Total for this year's surgery plus PT = $3,775 - $4,075.00

Total for all surgeries and PT = $7,847 - $8,147.87

I have not yet scheduled any physical therapy for her this time around because I can't afford it. Her physical therapy this year would run between $950 and $1250 depending on how many sessions, type, etc. If I can raise the money here, I'll get her PT scheduled right away!
