Help Lot'sa Get off the Ground

Donation protected
Hello, we’re local Chicago artists Catdroool and Gingergold , and together we’re launching Lot’sa – a new community art space. Just around the corner from Color Club , Lot’sa will be a place for shopping curated goods from local artists, coworking, and participating in art workshops, creative meetups, and more.

We believe everyone deserves access to art, and everyone has the potential to be an artist. We’ve found joy and healing through making as a creative outlet, and it’s led us to build careers as artists. We hope sharing this space will offer the same opportunity to others in our community. This will all be possible through our model: shop, gather, make.

Shop
Our retail space will feature art from our brands and a monthly featured artist. We’re excited to give local artists the opportunity to showcase their work in our storefront. Artists will have their own dedicated section and will pay a small fee to stock with us.

Gather
We will invite the community into our space regularly for art workshops, coworking, happy hours, and more. At an art workshop, you can expect to learn a new craft from local artists.

These workshops might include:
  • Making Cyanotypes
  • Risograph Printing
  • Zine Making
  • Ceramics
  • And More!

Lot’sa will also be a coworking space for other creatives to cowork with us at an affordable rate. We know that being an independent, working artist can be isolating, but sometimes surrounding yourself with good company can help you make your best work. We’re here to be a collaborative space and are excited to join the Color Club community.

Make
Lot’sa will be home to our studio equipment, work, ideas, and dreams. We will use the space regularly to make our own work, and we’re looking forward to letting people in to get a peek into our process.

Hopes and Dreams
We need your help launching Lot’sa. We’ve always dreamed of having a physical space to create our own art, but one that could also foster other people’s creative growth and confidence. Opening a physical space is no small feat, a donation of any amount would immensely help us with costs in our first year of business.

Donations will support our start-up costs:
  • Business, legal, and operational fees (LLC, licenses, insurance)
  • Physical space costs (moving, space improvements, build out)
  • Marketing + branding expenses (domain, hosting, promotion)

See Ya Soon!
We're so lucky to be a part of an abundant art community in Chicago. We're thankful to all the people who have helped us get where we are and for continuing to help us grow. We plan to open Lot'sa this fall with a group art show centered around the theme of abundance. If you’re an artist and want to apply, find more information here. We hope to see you there either way.

Many Thanks!
Hannah, Cheryl and Sarah
