Lorraine & Dale's Fire Recovery

The fires in Sonoma County, CA have devastated countless lives. Two of those lives belong to my aunt and uncle, Lorraine and Dale Cheli. On the morning of October 9, Lorraine and Dale evacuated their Santa Rosa home with nothing other than the clothes they were wearing. They waited anxiously with other evacuees only to learn hours later, that their home had been burned completely to the ground. We are thankful that they both are safe, but are sad to know that they lost everything they owned.

Lorraine has a big heart for charity and caring for those in need. She travels extensively, guiding tours for seniors to beautiful worldwide destinations and annually travels to Africa to bring clothing and other goods to a Catholic orphanage with which she has developed a close relationship. She and Dale celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary earlier this year, and are currently staying in a friend's extra bedroom.

We have no doubt that Lorraine and Dale will land on their feet, but they need help now to gather together basic items such as food, clothing, medication, and toiletries while they figure out their next steps. We hope to gather these funds for them in the next few days and appreciate any help you can offer.
