HELP LORETA KEEP HER LEG

Thank you for taking the time to look at our GoFundMe page. My husband and I rescued a greyhound, Loreta, nearly 5 years ago and have loved every day we have been able to share with her since then. This weekend, we wanted to take her out for a nice nature walk and give her the chance to run around in a gated field. Unfortunately, as greyhounds are extremely fast, when she began running around she ran too quickly and broke her ankle. X-Rays revealed that she actually has a calcaneous fracture, a very bad fracture. She essentially broke her ankle bone as well as all of the joints in her toes that are attached to the calcaneous. This is not a fracture that can be corrected with a cast unfortunately. She needs to have surgery wherein plates and screws are placed in her ankle in order to fuse the entire ankle back together. This surgery is very expensive, upwards of $10,000 if all goes well during surgery. My husband and I are public school teachers and have been trying to start a family so money is very scarce at the moment and we do not have the means to cover this surgery. We have attached a copy of the estimation that our surgeon provided us with for this surgery below. We would greatly appreciate any donation you would be so kind to donate to our fund as without this surgery Loreta will not be able to walk and run as she so loved to do prior to this horrible accident.
