Thank you so much for stopping by to read a little about my dads story!
For those of you who do not know my dad, his name is Lonnie. He is a caring, funny, thoughtful, and hard-working man. He is uninsured and newly unemployed due to his recent diagnosis.
About a month ago my dad was admitted to the hospital for severe pain he was/is still having. The doctors did a CT scan and found a tumor on his bladder. A biopsy was done on the tumor and the results came back as cancerous. My dad was diagnosed with Aggressive Bladder Cancer a few days later. Each day since it has been an uphill battle to find treatment for him. Our family is heartbroken with this news, but we are ready to fight! Our lives have changed forever but this is just the beginning of our fight against this terrible disease.
We need your help...
My dad is uninsured. My mom and I have spent weeks searching for resources to help us pay for medical treatment. We finally found a doctor willing to treat my dad without insurance! This is good news but it will be expensive. My dad needs to start chemotherapy immediately to fight the cancer. The doctors have told us that he will need surgery as part of his treatment plan as well. My dad is unable to work because of the pain he is having and things are really starting to add up.
Our family needs help, anything you can donate is very much appreciated! With no health insurance, expensive chemo treatments/scans, and my dad not being able to work, we are definitely in need of some financial assistance.
