Help Lois With Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

My name is Davie Basichis. I am 19 years old and I'm making this fundraiser to support my mom. On April 24th, 2021 my mother, Lois, was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer. This is one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer that is resistant to normal treatment and it spreads quickly. She has undergone testing, has had a lumpectomy, and has just started 4 months of chemo and radiation. She was hoping to continue working as she went through treatment, but the effects of chemo were so devastating to her body that she had to stop.

My mom is the hardest worker I have ever known. When my dad was having heart problems and had to undergo surgery, my mom at the age of 53 got a job as a mail carrier at the post office. This is a strenuous and taxing job that has you work in extreme weather conditions and my mom took it to keep our family afloat. She worked as a substitute mail carrier with no earned benefits for 11 years and has just become a regular. She has supported our family throughout the recession, my dad's heart surgeries, his back surgeries, and all the while she has been a great and supportive mother. It is now our turn to support her and I am asking for your help. Any donation big or small may help ease our financial burden.
