Help Linda and Ron Eggert

It was late in the evening on May 5, 2017 when our sister Linda smelled an odd "oil like” odor in her home. She called her oil company supplier (they had been there that morning to fill her oil tank). They came right out and discovered that her oil tank had ruptured causing 250 gallons of oil to leak into the crawl space of her home. The oil company did what they could to salvage a small portion of the oil. They charged her $5000.00 for the visit and advised her to call her home owners insurance company.  They also explained to her that she would need a company that specializes in oil clean up. The insurance company Nationwide sent out their adjuster and it was determined that "oil" issues were not covered by her homeowners policy. Linda and her husband Ron stayed at a local motel for a couple of days but had to move back to their home that smells horribly of oil when they could no longer afford to stay at the motel. After receiving several estimates from companies that specialize in oil cleanup it was determined that it would cost $35,000 to remove the oil and dirt, drill holes in the cinderblock foundation, refill the holes, break up the cement floor of the crawl space, and deliver new dirt and fill the cinderblock holes. Linda has worked her entire life but this is an expense she and Ron cannot afford.  Ron is seventy-five years old, retired and unable to reenter the workforce due to some health issues.  We fear that they will lose everything they have worked so hard for all of their lives.
