Help Lily Appleton Fight Liver Disease
My name is Dan Wilson and I am one of Lily's partners. Around August 1st, Lily was admitted to the hospital with apparent liver issues. We didn't know anything was wrong until we noticed the whites of her eyes were yellow, a sign of liver damage. It took a week and 2 hospitals to finally get a diagnosis of liver failure/liver disease and severe cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver. Though the cause of the liver damage is still unknown, the doctors at Emory University Hospital have determined she will need a liver transplant. While we wait for that to happen, Lily is unable to work, is on a specialized low sodium diet, and is on medications to keep the liver disease at bay. The good news is you can help.
We're raising funds for the following ongoing needs:
-Low sodium replacement foods and other groceries
-Ongoing bills
-Pre-transplant Medication
Any amount helps. Thank you so much.
