Help Liam and his family fight leukemia

Hi everyone!

This fundraiser is in support of 7-year-old Liam Emery who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

Liam is such a happy boy and he and his family need our help!

He is the son of a friend/ECCC co-worker and he is battling an aggressive form of leukemia.

Liam is an active little boy who plays hockey and just finished first grade.

Until recently, Liam did not show any signs of health issues. He recently had a trip to the Emergency room for what seemed like a lingering stomach bug. After further testing, he was transferred to the IWK where he was diagnosed with leukemia. He started aggressive chemotherapy treatments the very next day. Liam and his family will be at the IWK for at least a month while he undergoes a round of chemo and they will have to travel back and forth to the IWK for follow-ups.

The funds gathered through this fundraiser will be used to alleviate some of the financial burden related to medical expenses and out of province travel
