Help Leola’s Kitchen Get Back on the Road
Don protégé
My name is Shannon, and I’m the owner and operator of Leola’s Kitchen, a food truck that’s been serving our community for just over a year. Leola’s Kitchen is inspired by my Grandma’s soul food recipes, blended with flavors I discovered during my 21 years in the Army. Every dish I serve is a tribute to family, tradition, and the diverse experiences that have shaped my life.
Recently, my generator broke down—the pistons were damaged beyond repair, and replacing it is more cost-effective than fixing it. Since my food truck relies entirely on generator power, I’ve lost a week’s worth of sales and can’t attend the events I’m booked for. This setback has been especially hard because I run the business on my own, and starting Leola’s Kitchen has already been a big financial challenge.
With a new generator, I’ll be able to get back to serving my customers and keep my commitments to the events I’m scheduled for—four days a week through August, including a major event from July 10-14 that’s crucial for my business. I’m reaching out for help because I want to keep Leola’s Kitchen rolling and continue sharing my food and story with the community. Any support will make a real difference and help me get back on the road.
