Help Le'Ecia Get a Car

Hello!

I am raising funds for a reliable vehicle as well as parking expenses.

The main reason I want a car is because I have a toddler and I would love to have my own form of transportation in case of emergencies.

We are also both regularly seen by our amazing doctor's office which is located up North. We are able to make most appointments via Telehealth but anytime an in-person visit is required - we have to rent a car which really adds up.

Another main reason is that the only close grocery store is at a much higher price point than we'd like and we are only able to buy small amounts that will fit into my stroller. If I have a car, I can shop at more affordable stores and buy food in bulk. 

Additionally, I am starting a business with family which will be located about 30min South. Having a car will help me get down there to work on business related tasks.

I am also applying to jobs that require having a reliable form of transportation and would love to have a car if any job offers come through!

I am grateful that we have access to public transportation, but outside of traveling to close neighborhoods, it is difficult or takes a very long time to get to further out locations. The city is also not always accessible with elevators / escalators often broken down and bus drivers frequently and deliberately passing us or making me get on the back with a very heavy to lift stroller.

I would love the ability to get from point A to point B freely and quickly if needed.

I would love to reach this goal before next year - though I appreciate any support even if my ideal timeline doesn't happen.


$5000 is budgeted out for the price of a car 

$1200 is budgeted out for 4 months of average parking garage costs in our area

$520 is budgeted out for 4 months of average car insurance costs
