Help Layla battle Leukaemia

Doação protegida
I have set up this page on behalf of my sister Jackie Stewart. On the 3rd of December her youngest daughter Layla was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, an extremely aggressive form of leukaemia unfortunately it didn’t stop there as doctors also found a large tumour on her left lung. Layla was airlifted to the Queensland Children’s Hospital and within just a few days of being diagnosed Layla was put on steroids and an intensive Chemotherapy treatment.

Since then Layla has endured multiple blood tests, scans, lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, blood transfusions and surgeries. Layla’s treatment is expected to span across the next 3 years with at least the next 5-6months in Brisbane which means that Jackie has had to relocate to Brisbane to support Layla through this. As you can imagine these past 2 months have been filled with intense emotional, physical and financial challenges and there’s no doubt that the coming months will be the same.

Many people have asked how they can help during this extremely difficult time. I wanted to provide an opportunity for those who would like to help ease some of the financial burden of this unexpected and devastating diagnosis.

Any donations will help with the costs associated with additional medical, daily and living expenses, bills and anything else Layla may need while she fights this.

Layla is such a bright and bubbly little girl and to see her so unwell is truly heartbreaking, we are hopeful for a successful treatment and a full recovery.
