Help Lay Alex to Rest (RIP, Alex)

Many of you have heard me talk about my, “kind of husband”, Victor.

It breaks my heart to tell you that Victor’s nephew was murdered this past weekend. His name was Alex, and he was a kind soul.

Alex is survived by his partner and two small sons (who have beautiful dark curls, big brown eyes, and heart-melting smiles).

Alex did not have life insurance, and his family cannot afford the funeral costs.

His mother has asked for a level of anonymity as she suffers this unimaginable loss, and thus did not want to start a Go Fund Me herself. So I am doing it for her.

I literally cannot imagine losing my child and it crushes my heart. Then to have to worry about the money to lay your baby to rest … on top of the pain … I just can’t …

I can’t bring Alex back, I can’t fill the hole in our family’s heart. But I can be here, and I can try to ease the financial burden.

It will cost $5900 to have the funeral service, have the funeral home pick Alex's body up from the morgue and prepare it for viewing, and be cremated as per his wishes.

Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.

Any funds raised above and beyond the $5900 funeral and cremation costs will go to Alex's young family, for whom he was the sole provider.

Alex's mother has until the evening Friday 12/4/2020 to pay the funeral home.

Again, anything you can do will help. Even if it's just a couple bucks, it will get us that much closer to giving Alex the goodbye he deserves.
