Help Lawson Get The Trekinetic GTE Wheelchair

As many of you may know, my brother has Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

This is a life limiting muscle wasting disease that gradually cause the muscles to weaken.  Duchenne’s is the most severe form, it usually affects boys in early childhood;  this condition leaves boys with a life expectancy of there early 20s. Generally they lose the ability to walk between the ages of 8-12 and slowly the other muscle groups follow I.e arms,lungs,heart.

As Lawson is still only a young boy age 8 he still has so much energy to burn and exploring to do, while he is still mobile and ambulent time is quickly taking this away from him so now we are trying to give him the best chance of being independent. This wheelchair will offer this independence and give Lawson the opportunity to speed,zoom,explore of his own accord.

^^ The wheelchair starts from £9,795  but as Lawson already has compression fractures to his spine additional lumbar support and other extras will be needed.
