Memphis’ Microschool Revolution - Year 2!

PREPARING FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR!
In response to growing interest in our unique program, we are relocating to a larger location, expanding our Farm School program, and
adding a new studio to serve older learners. We are so excited about our growth and hope that you will support us as we continue to
provide an exceptional learning environment for Memphis families. 


A new microschool for the Memphis community opened in Fall 2021.

The Lab School of Memphis is excited to offer a unique learning environment for curious, independent learners and their families. A learner-driven environment that cultivates community, curiosity, and critical thinking by culturally affirming the future change makers of the world is rethinking how children flourish.

Mom of four and educator Coi Morrison founded the school because she grew weary of the constant tension between the benefit of the educational resources of private schools at the sacrifice of an affirming environment that would celebrate her children's unique cultural identity, strengths, and learning styles. Coi is the creator of The BlackIQ Project, a curriculum that has been adopted by educators and organizations across the country that focuses on culturally responsive pedagogy. Coi has now taken this work, and a commitment to reimagining education as we know it, to new heights with the introduction of The Lab School.
