Help Laughing Fox Record Ojibwe Music and Stories

Donation protected
Micheal Laughing Fox Charette is a musician, storyteller, artist, and educator from the Red Cliff band of Ojibwe in Northern Wisconsin. He and the Little Turtle Singers are recording stories, drums, and flute music from their life and tribe to offer as an education tool and a way to preserve and share culture for generations to come.

The current project, "Tales of Laughing Fox", is a 13-part storytelling experience, blending music, spoken words, and visuals. They need a new laptop and a microphone to capture these tales.

The funds will be used for a 13-inch Macbook Pro and a Tascam recorder. The extra will go towards recording studio costs and manufacturing/ marketing the music (along with taxes and gofundme fees).

These tools will help the artists share and preserve Ojibwe music, traditional stories, and culture. Laughing Fox hopes the project will grow as he is able to capture more artists in his community--dancers, storytellers, and singers. He dreams that this work will be used in schools as well as preserving a legacy in his own community.

We would be grateful for your assistance in helping amplify Native voices and uplifting this beautiful community, and we can't wait to share these stories with you!
