Help Larry Washington, aka: "Big Larry"

My name is Chelius H. Carter. I am seeking to raise funds for our friend, Larry Washington (aka: "Big Larry") in his dreadful time of need. My wife & I manage a historic preservation non-profit in Holly Springs, Mississippi. We got to know "Big Larry" in 2011 as a suggestion for overnight security at an outdoor fund-raising event.

Larry does several odd jobs to make ends meet. Primarily he has an auto detailing service that he works at with his son "Little Larry." In the intervening years, he has provided us with overnight security on several occasions and found him to be a humble & gentle giant, for whom we have great affection and send him a check now and again to help him through the past two years of this pandemic.

We got the dreadful news yesterday that his son "Little Larry" was killed in a tragic incident on MS Highway 72....the incalculable personal loss for our friend, Larry Washington, is difficult to fathom. Add to that, the unexpected costs of funerary arrangements is another matter entirely...one which our occasional checks can hardly put a dent in. So we are trying this method to see if we can elicit some help for Larry Washington in this dire time of need...particularly in this challenging time when Larry's income - like so many others - has been severely curtailed.

We will manage the receipt of funds and send the amounts raised directly to Larry in Holly Springs, Mississippi, by check. In advance, my wife & I thank you for your compassion and generosity.
