Help Kollin Heal

Meet Our Son Kollin
Kollin is a sweet, funny, talented, 9 year old boy. He loves to create anything, music, art, Lego creations, etc. He loves playing and acting with his brother and sister.  Most of all he loves to make people smile and laugh. It makes him sad to see anyone in pain or unhappy and he will do anything he can to help them smile.

What happened
Last Sunday, Kollin was badly burned by an oil fire. He has Third Degree Burns on both of his legs and feet. Since then he has been unable to leave his bed at the children's hospital. Tuesday morning he had grafting surgery. He is bound to his bed until next week, when they should finally allow him to be cared for at home. All of this would be hard on anyone, especially for a nine year old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Healing process
While he will be cared for at home, it will be a long and extremely painful process. Many painful trips to and from the burn center and for physical therapy He will spend most of his time in bed, only able to move with the help of a wheelchair, or hopefully a walker. It will be months before he will be able to walk on his own, much longer until he can walk without pain.

What Donations will be used for
Hospital and Medical expenses, which are always high, even with insurance.
Fuel, as it the drive to the hospital and to the burn center takes several hours each direction.
Medical supplies needed for home care, everything from bandages and baby wipes, to extra bedding and pillows. Maybe even a bed that would make him comfortable and allow bandage changing with the least amount of stress and pain possible.
Other Bills which will be harder to pay while we are taking the time off to care for our son
How you can Help
You may not think you can do anything to help, but you really can!  Simply copy the link and post to your social media accounts. Share with your friends, coworkers, etc. Also, even small donations can add up to be a huge help. If 20 people donate 5$, that's enough in gas to get to and from the hospital or burn center a couple of times. Or it's enough to get Kollin  pillows and bed sheets, which will need to be changed daily.

The more donations we receive, the more time we can use to focus on helping our son heal physically, mentally and emotionally.

We are so very grateful to each of you for taking the time to read and share this page. As well as for the love and moral support.

Thank you!!
