Help Kim MacDonald

Hello everyone, I’ve put this page up to raise money for my cousin Kim. Yesterday afternoon – Friday 8 November – apocalyptic fires came through Bobin just west of Wingham, northwest of Taree and three hours north of Sydney. Kim ran with her two dogs, Pepe and Neve into the creek, that backs onto her property with only a wet blanket for protection and covered their heads. She sat in the creek for 3.5 hours while the fire burned around her and finally jumped over her head to the other side of the creek. She lost everything – phone, car, house, garden, her beautiful chooks – but thankfully she’s alive and so is her partner Gary. Gary in the RFS fighting fires in and around Bobin. There was one crew, one truck and five men blocked off by fallen, burning trees. They were heroes. So many houses were lost. We love Kim. She does everything for everyone, is so generous, so kind, just an amazing beautiful, big hearted human. If anyone could have survived three and a half hours in the creek, it is Kim, with her cool calm head. If you know Kim, you know what I mean. But rebuilding your life is a bloody tough gig. That’s why we've got this page. We’re trying to raise money to help Kim recover from this devastation .. She lost everything and only has her two wonderful doggies, Pepe and Neve and the clothes on her back left.
