Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Kiah (Or Nia as she goes by now) would know she is truly a selfless, caring young woman. She is 23 years old and is striving to go into the medical field. From her community engagement to creating her own charity events, there is never a moment where she isn't thinking about others and bringing joy to everyone she meets. Unfortunately, now she needs the same support.
On Monday, August 20th, 2018, Kiah was faced with an obstacle she never expected to receive. After seeking medical attention for a sore swollen lymph node, Kiah was officially diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer in the lymphatic system. Both she and her family were blind-sighted by the sudden news, but they are determined to do whatever it takes to beat this life-threatening disease.
Kiah is an incredibly strong woman and is taking the news as best as she can, but with countless tests and scans to be done, her hospital bills have began to grow even before her estimated months of chemotherapy that is on the way.
Kiah is under medical insurance, but there is a tremendously large deductible before it will even begin to help. As a single mother, I made the choice for what was best for me and my girls at the time. A lower premium meant food and clothing for them, but circumstances have changed, and what matters is helping Kiah get the treatment she will need.
We would like to invite you to support Kiah and donate to her cause so that she can return to her normal life as soon as possible. All the money that is donated here will go directly to Kiah for her medical bills, etc. Please continue to keep Kiah in your prayers in hopes for a very fast recovery. We know she can do it!
