Help Ken and Kathy beat cancer

Donation protected
Ken (75) and Kathy (77) Marley have always given of themselves to serve others.  When the Pontiac Bible Church decided that there was a need for a Christian school in the Pontiac IL area. Ken gave up a higher paying and more secure job at Caterpillar in order to become one of the founding teachers at the school.  During all these years Ken and Kathy pinched every penny in order to serve the children, and parents in this school.  Even though Ken could have easily gotten a higher paying job with a pension if he went into public school teaching, they always knew the importance of serving God and others.

Because of these sacrifices Ken and Kathy entered into retirement without a large nest egg to live on.  After one year of being out of teaching, Ken got the call to go back into teaching as a substitute teacher in order to serve more children and to supplement their retirement income.  When COVID hit in March of 2020 this extra income came to a stop as substitute teachers were no longer needed.

Normally this would not be a problem at all for Ken and Kathy, but on Feb. 27 of 2020 Kathy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ideopathic Pleomorphic Sarcoma cancer ( for which there is no known traditional chemotherapy that works.) Kathy is a fighter and knew this was not the end of her road; however, she also knew that chemotherapy was not in the cards for her.  Had chemo been an option then insurance would have fully covered the cost of her recovery.  Instead of insurance everything is out of pocket and this includes expensive food and several different forms of therapy to give her body a fighting chance to beat this cancer.    They were directed to a Christian alternative medicine MD, who found a medicine that works best for Sarcomas, but which Medicare does not cover. With Ken by  her side Kathy will beat cancer and will continue the long life that God has given her, but they need your help to fund the recovery. They need to find approximately $10,000 to pay for the initial treatments, due mid-September, with more treatments coming, which is why I am asking for $20,000. Please consider donating anything you can to help, and all prayers a much appreciated.

God Bless.
