It would take a bacterial infection creating an abscess in the spinal column to make the hardest working man slow down. We just didn’t know the extent to which it would. On Monday, Ken was admitted to the hospital with numbness in his legs that eventually climbed to his chest and required emergency surgery to open and drain a large abscess in his spine from C7 vertebrae to T7. He made it through the grueling 4 hour surgery but still remains paralyzed from the chest down. He has started intensive therapy and begins a long 18-24 month rehabilitation that we pray will be the end of this paralysis. But all of this has left him out of work, with tons of added expenses for medical bills, therapies, ramps to be built, house/bathroom even new vehicles required. If you know Ken, he has worked hard every day of his life and now more than ever he deserves time to heal without the financial burden a medical diagnosis like this can create. If you are able we would love to have you support him financially but most importantly in prayer to our Heavenly Father for ultimate healing and restoration of his nerves and ability to walk.
