Help me keep our father with us

There always is something that happens in life but we never though it would happen to our family. My sister and I have always been looked after by our father who stayed near us no matter what even after divorce. He helped us go through such a difficult time and supported us in school.
Lately for the last five months, we go some difficult news: my father has been diagnosed with a tumor in the liver. Unfortunately, the insurance we have will not cover it. The price is too high to have the tumor taken out. We found another facility in the Philippines capable to do it at a lower cost. But with all what we have and by selling all the things we could sell we are stil short 9,000 dollars from a total of 16,000 dollars.
He should be going to Manila in mid-August to start the operation and recovery treatment. We are asking for any good-hearted people to help us and keep our father around more longer. With today's medical technology, he is promised almost full recovery if this happens. Please help, thank you.
