My story
Most will already know last year for me was one of the toughest yet. Surgery last May was definitely not in the plan. I was in the shape of my life, but things quickly got turned on their head. A torn patellor tendon meant no 2019 season of dreams.
I fought tirelessly to get back to fitness to be able to finish the race in Lausanne at the World Championships safely. Against all odds, I did make it around the course at the world championships (albeit not the placing I wanted).
After missing all season and the qualifying races for this year, I thought I would give the end of season race at Brighton a go and try to try and seal a spot for the team next year. I somehow managed to finish 2nd in my age group, qualifying for the World Championships 2020 in Edmonton, Canada. Quite crazy only 3 months after major surgery, but I expect nothing less of myself haha.
Please help keep my dream alive
The World Championships in Canada are now just 6 months away. As it stands I cant cover the costs of getting there. I am devastated all my achievements to get onto the team after my op may now fall short due to finances. I have just recently changed jobs and made a huge life change and moved 6hours away back to Scotland.
These opportunities won't be around forever. I hate asking for help but sometimes you have to. I don't ask for much but anything is greatly appreciated.
