I truly need help to get dental implants. The cost is really high, and I can't afford it with the minimum wage job I have. I went to the dentist and had all my teeth pulled, following their recommendation to get dentures. I thought this would be a fresh start—I could eat the foods I love, smile with confidence, and feel like myself again. For a couple of days, it seemed like things were looking up, but the reality has been much harder.
Since day one, my dentures have caused problems. I can't eat the foods I love, and my confidence has actually gotten worse because I'm always worried my teeth will move around when I talk or smile. It's embarrassing and stressful. I tried using glue, but I learned it can be harmful, and the taste and smell make me gag. Even with the dentures, I still have to cut my food into tiny pieces, and chewing is a struggle. I've been on a soft diet for a long time, and I just want to enjoy meals and conversations without fear or discomfort.
I've tried everything I can think of—grants, loans, and other options—but nothing has worked. Dental implants are not covered by my insurance, so the cost is completely out of pocket. I'm not used to asking for help, but this is my only option. Even a small donation would mean so much to me. Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can give. I hope, with your help, I can finally eat, smile, and live with confidence again.
