Help Karina through breast cancer treatment

Hi My name is Roshelle and I'm organizing a fundraiser to try and make life a little easier for my dear friend Karina & her family while she goes through chemotherapy treatment. They are very reluctant to accept any help as our amazing community has helped them so much when they lost their daughter Zoie last year.  But with so many of our locals once again reaching out and want to help their family i have made this go fund me page.

Cancer affects all of us .

We all know someone who has fought or been taken by this dreadful disease.

 

Karina is now going through her second time of breast cancer but this time she has been diagnosed with HER2 Positive invasive grade 3 Breast cancer.

 

Back in August 2018 Karina was diagnosed with DCIS - Non invasive cancer of the milk duct.

Karina underwent a lumpectomy and 6 weeks of radiation treatment completed in Feb 2019

 

On her routine Mammogram and ultrasound August 2021 which showed Karina's cancer had returned.

After a biopsy it was confirmed the dreaded news that this time it was invasive.

Karina will now undergo 6 months of chemotherapy treatment followed by Mastectomy and reconstruction as well as antibody treatments for the following 12 months.

 

However this isn't the hardest battle that Karina, her husband Aaron and their family have had to face.

On the 1st of July 2020 they lost their 14 year old beloved daughter Zoie in a tragic accident while walking home from school .

The loss of a child is unimaginable the heartache and grief this beautiful family suffered was horrific.

Karina & Aaron took time off work to be home together with their 4 boys to pull together as a family to mourn the loss of beautiful Zoie.

 

Now as Karina , Aaron and their family pull together again we would love to help ease some financial burden so that Aaron could spend some time off work to be at home taking care of Karina and their 4 son's.

 

Now its time to send back some love to this amazing strong family who have already been through so much make life a little easier while they focus on what is ahead.
