Help Karen Beat Cancer !

As many of you know, our dear Karen was diagnosed with jejunal adenocarcinoma just over 2 years ago. Since that time, she has been determined to kick cancer’s ass. She is a fighter, and has shown us all what it means to have true strength and courage. She has not once allowed cancer to overcome her, and whenever she is faced with bad news, that strength shines through and she proves to all of us just how amazing she is.
Unfortunately, we got a touch of that bad news recently when Karen was told that chemotherapy was no longer working. The oncologists at both Dana Farber and Southcoast Health told us there were no further options. No further options?? How is that possible?? This woman looks absolutely incredible, how can it be that this is the end of the line? We all did our research, and Karen was on the phone for hours on end trying to find a clinical trial or some miracle that would give her a chance to continue on and defeat the odds. She was soon after prescribed a chemo pill that the doctors put her on as a “last resort.” The chemo pill is meant for colon cancer, so the oncologist didn’t hold much hope for any positive results. The reality is, Karen is currently in a lot of pain, and as strong as she is, she is scared.
A family friend then told Karen about personal success with a more holistic/alternative method of treatment, one that worked wonders for this individual even though they were faced with a grim prognosis. The treatment involves the use of THC oil in heavy doses. Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds found in THC oil, and research has demonstrated that in some cases they inhibit the development and growth of cancer cells. In addition to this, there are many palliative benefits to THC oil, including appetite stimulation and decreased nausea, vomiting, and pain. Upon doing our own research, we found that there have been no credible clinical trials on THC oil and their effect on cancer, however there are endless testimonials from people all over the world on how they beat cancer through the use of THC oil.
Karen decided this was a route she wanted to pursue, and we found a local dispensary where she could get all of the oil she would need for a 30-day regimen. Although we are all determined to take this step, expenses are very high since insurance does not cover this type of treatment. We are looking at between $4,000 and $5,000 for the treatment. It’s certainly not cheap, but if it truly will give Karen a fighting chance, we are prepared to do what we need to as a family in order to make it happen.
