David L. Smith was a retired self employed plasterer by trade for Wilber L Smith & Sons Plastering. He helped build the business up by doing high quality work for prestigious clients here in Wichita and through out the mid-west. 
Over the last few years, he was in failing health which forced him into early retirement and left with a lot of medical expenses. My dad was always the glue of the family and unselfishly put everyone else first. He had not purchased life insurance due to the high cost of coverage due to his previous health issues. Instead he had picked out some plots by the family, picked out a casket and also started making payments on the vaults as well.
Instead of flowers, the family is asking for all contributions to be sent to my dads go fund me page, to help with my dads final affairs.
