Help Justin fly.

Hello,

My name is Justin.

(sigh)   Here we go...

I am a genuine and honest, Montana boy that is willing to do anything possible to get his aviation career, up in the air!

This is not a trick, or a scam, or just a way to make money:  It was hard for me to make this.  And you deserve me, being honest and sincere with this all.  So if you have a second, please... just hear me out.
My future might just make it, because of you.

It is not the "norm" for a rural Montana boy to come from a zero aviation background, and strive to become a pilot...

I've stared up at the sky, many times, and dreamt of flying since I was a kid.  After my parents had taken my sister and I to a Blue Angels air show in our younger days, it was all over;  I was sold.   But coming from the lower middle class, finding the money and route to accomplish this goal, would not be easy.
I was willing and driven to do whatever steps where needed!

(1996) Kalispell, MT.

With the help of student loans, I completed flight school at the University of North Dakota in 2015.  My plan was to go Marine Officer, but this plan was shut down due to my age waiver not being accepted.  I was too old for them.  With that now in hand, I had lots of student debt and not enough flight hours to go anywhere.
But I was not giving up.

(2012)  First solo.  Grand Forks, ND.

So... I enlisted in the U.S. Army, at age 30, a very bittersweet thing to do!  But I was willing to do anything to reach my goal, and going Warrant Officer was truly my last chance at getting a flight career going.

But more challenges were ahead.

Currently stationed here at Fort Campbell Kentucky, home of the 101st, I have come to find out, the Army would not pay for my eye surgery, which I need to fly.   I was evaluated on base, but turned down because my corneas were "too oddly shaped".
...Still not giving up.

Finally a break:  The great Dr. Wang, a world renown eye surgeon, who happens to be located in next door Nashville, Tennessee!  With his team and world-class, cutting-edge technology, I was evaluated and approved for eye surgery!  To understand:  On a simpler note, He and his team have the proper technology to perform a more complicated surgeries, than what the Army could provide.  It unfortunately will cost me 10,000 dollars to get this procedure done.  Honestly.

Jan 2018.

Unfortunately, the Army will not assist in paying for this surgery, even though this would be my "make or break" step into Army aviation, and finally being able to do what I've trying to achieve for almost a decade now.

I wish I could ask my folks or a rich family member for such funds, but I can't do that.   Both of my parents passed while I was in my later teen years, and funds to this amount just isn't given away from a family member.

Here is the point.......

People talk about, "never giving up on your dreams!" and "failure is not an option!",   well this it...  This is me...  doing ANYthing and everything I can to NOT give up.   And if I have to make a GoFundMe, then that is what I have got to do.

It is embarrassing to make a GoFundMe, but I truly am willing to do whatever it takes.  I am truly begging the Lord, that life would just give me a break.

So...  here I am.  From me to you, reading this...
Whether it is $5 or $500,  ANY little bit will help.  You would be helping  a man accomplish his dream, accomplish his career, accomplish his next step towards a job to supporting a family, and accomplishing his... life.

I am currently deployed overseas and my deadline for this surgery is May of this year.  I am happy to visit more with anyone about this all.  I do not have a working phone because of my location, but I do check my email regularly.  I will be happy to reply!

With a sincere heart,

Thank you.
