In Memory of Devin Compton

Hello my name is John. My son's name is Devin. Growing up my son Devin, made a friend, about a year older, who's name was also Devin. They were fast friends. It wasn't long before his older brother J.R. and my older step-son Dillon, also around the same age, also became fast friends.
The Brat Pack.... this is what they were lovingly referred to as they were growing up. Dillon, JR and the two Devin's, were inseparable. If they weren't at one house, they were at the other, as a group. It was all or nothing. The mom's were instant friends. Her youngest learned to walk, making her way to my son's mom's apartment, and a new family was created. We have so much love for them.
On Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2021 in an apartment complex parking lot in Antioch, TN, Devin Compton's life was taken in a senseless act of violence, with his girlfriend and four year old son and namesake present. Devin Compton was just 24.
Family is family, blood or not. Devin's family has been there during some of our most devastating times. Divorce, job loss, eviction, homelessness, etc. Devin's loving and giving family is devastated, and struggling not only with the emotional loss and trauma during the holidays, but also faced with the unforeseen cost of funeral and burial expenses.
Devin is survived by his son Devin Jr., his parents Julia and James, and his siblings Ray (JR), Chloe, and Teagan.
Our family would like to spare his family further trauma, repay their kindness and help relieve some of that expense, in short order. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.
