CT ACO fights Lymphoma #teamjudy

Grandmother of 11 and wonderful community animal control officer has always helped others but now its time for our community to come together to help her in her battle against stage 3 Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma.

Judy is a strong woman full of love and compassion for both people and animals. She has a beautiful family and 11 grandchildren if you can believe it!! Wow!

She absolutely loves spending time with them and when she isnt with them, she is caring for her adopted pets with special needs or out in the community helping citizens and standing against animal abuse. Because of her love for animals, she has been an animal control officer since 1995. In the last 10 years for Woodbury and more recently hired by Watertown Police Dept. To those that know her, it goes without saying that Judy is an exceptional example of an animal control officer who goes above and beyond. She is an active member of Desmonds army animal law advocates and has a pretty special therapy/comfort dog named Lola who helps a variety of people cope through different life events.

Unfortunately cancer doesnt care that we have bills to pay and her paid sick time has already been exhausted leaving her with no income right now. While going through this devastating diagnosis and treatment, she shouldnt have to worry about paying her mortgage on top of everything...nobody should. Judy is a strong woman with a heart of gold and we need her back in the community to continue her efforts of making this world a better place for people and animals.

For the next few months, Judy will receive chemo every 3 weeks for 6 cycles. She is down to 117lbs currently and the treatment has already taken a lot of energy from her.

We know how Judy has donated her money and time to so many others in the past and we are confident that when she needs us most now, our community of family, ACO's, animal rescuers and many more, will help her so she can be strongest in her fight against cancer, the way she needs to be .
