Help Joules Graves come home from the Nursing Home

Joules has been living with MS for over 23 years now. For the last 2 1/2 years it has been necessary for her to reside in a a Skilled Nursing Facility in Bellingham Washington.
The medical protocols associated with current lockdown have created an unacceptable situation in Joules' care. She now lives in total isolation with no human contact except to receive meals, medicines and "cares". She's allowed no visitors, not even her patient advocate and power of attorney. Her phone is inoperable so is very difficult communicate with her.
She had a near-death experience on March 13th 2019, her birthday, from which she has fought her way back. She was steadily improving and was starting to go go out into the community on the Paratransit bus, with the help of an aide, when the the lockdown locked her up. She enjoyed having lunch at Whole Foods shopping at Fred Meyer and visiting Devon at Champlin guitars on Cornwall Avenue in Bellingham. She was doing well and has the capacity to continue in her healing Journey.
Before the lockdown, in February of 2019 she was very clever and her humor, wit, and ever-present smile where totally intact, as you can see by the pictures. Even when Joules was near death she never lost the ability to laugh at life.
She is starting to go backwards now in her health and mental state and her quality of life is deteriorating.
We can no longer Stand By and let this situation occur.
We are activly acquiring medical equipment, hireing home health care workers and performing modifications to the home that she will be moving into. Her DSHS social worker is helping pave the way for Joules exit from the facility. It's going to happen!
Please consider donating to help us create a non-institutional space for Joules to live in. Thank you from the bottom of our heart. You know that Joules thanks you also.
