Help Josh BEAT Lymphoma!

In June of this year, Josh noticed a lump in his neck just under his collarbone. In the past 6 months we have been in and out of labs, procedures, CT & PET scans, infusions - the list goes on. We kept hoping that it was nothing – perhaps a splintered bone from when he broke his collarbone years ago? On August 8th the results came in - at the age of 38, Josh was diagnosed with Follicular Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Grade 3a. It’s been a whirlwind. After more testing it was confirmed that he also has Sarcoidosis.  He's the lucky winner of 2 rare diseases! It has all been so confusing and overwhelming, but with the help of our amazing doctors, we have finally made the decision to start radiation treatment on December 13th. He will be traveling back and forth to Dartmouth for treatment every day for the next three and a half weeks, and dealing with the fatigue and side effects for some time after.

We are extremely fortunate to have excellent health insurance. But with every appointment and every procedure comes a cost not covered. With every trip, meal, treatment, supplement a cost that we didn't prepare for.  A cost that we couldn't prepare for. Not to mention additional childcare costs for our two little guys and potential lost wages.    

As much as we would like to think we could handle this ourselves, it truly takes a village, especially in times like these. We have decided that it is time to ask for help. Whether it's positive energy, reaching out, or helping offset costs associated with this diagnosis, we are thankful for any and all of the support we receive. The only reason we've been able to remain as positive as we have so far is because of the support we've had.  Our goal is to help offset our Out of Pocket costs over the next few months, as we know this fight will continue, even past January.
