Help John Wasson Beat Cancer!

Turner Portland family – many of you have worked with or know John Wasson.  He has been with Turner for many years, and is one of the most hard-working, positive, and all-around tremendous people we know.  John has been working as the on-site carpenter at Meier & Frank for the past 6 months - watching over crews, managing safety in the field, and being a huge help on-site.  Unfortunately, John was diagnosed with cancer a month ago and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a tumor near his throat.  Next steps are to do chemotherapy (started 10/30) and radiation to target the remainder of the cancerous cells, which means that he’ll be out of work for an unknown length of time.  When he delivered the news to the Meier & Frank team, the first thing he said was “I can’t wait to get back to work”.

 

Cancer is a terrible disease – it comes with huge emotional, physical, and financial impacts.  We set up this Go Fund Me to try and help John with his medical bills, and any other expense that may come up while he is fighting to get back to full-health.  Thank you so much for your contributions!  Absolutely anything helps.
