My name is Desaray, my Dad is James Vaillancourt most people know him as Jimmy. I am one of his 6 children reaching out for him.
As most of you know, my father has been battling stage 4 kidney cancer since 2017. Thanks to Pam for getting him the help and treatment he needed he is still with us today. He has had many highs and many lows during this fight but has never given up despite how hard it has gotten. My Dad and Pam have been together for 15 years. Their relationship itself has had ups & downs but they’ve weathered out every single storm they’ve gone through. These past few months have been extremely difficult for my father and our family. As you know the chemotherapy taken by cancer patients breaks down ones immune system, making one weaker and more vulnerable to other illnesses. During COVID we’ve been extremely careful. Though within the past couple of weeks we have not been so lucky. My father tested positive for COVID as he was admitted to the hospital yesterday for other issues he was having as a result of his cancer progressing.
Many know my Dad took a huge leap and proposed to Pam on Thanksgiving of 2020. He asked me if I could create this page to give him the blessed opportunity to give his fiancé a chance to walk down the isle to marry him. Through the years they have been through so much and my Dad is extremely grateful for everything she has done, building him into the man he is today. He doesn’t want anything more then to show his fiancé how much she means to him. My Dad will continue to fight to make this day come true for both of them. With your help we can make this sacred marriage possible despite what is going on around us. We will continue fighting. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated and we will make do with what we are blessed with. Thank you. We love you all.
