Help Jim Get to Work
Donation protected
This is my neighbor Jim, with his little black and white dog and best friend, Peanut Louise. Jim and Peanut live alone and are each others’ closest companions. With his permission, I’m asking for a bit of help to get Jim’s broke down car back on the road so that he can drive to work and be home in the evening for his dog.
For over two months, Jim has had to travel the 20 miles to his job in the cafeteria at Castleton State University by bicycle. Because the trip takes over two hours, and he sometimes has to work late, he often has to stay near work for days at a time. During those times, Peanut is in the good care of Jim’s landlord. But both Jim and Peanut benefit from each others’ company, and Jim simply needs a safe way to get to work. Jim is a veteran, has a special connection with animals, and is always offering help to his neighbors. Even a small contribution will help get Jim into a road safe vehicle before winter. And Peanut will be happy to have her “Poppy” back home. Thank you!
Jim estimates that he needs about $800 to pay for a new windshield, inspection, insurance and other repairs. A bit more will help with all weather tires and treats for Peanut.
