Help Jihad an innocent victim of Gun violence
Friday June 18th our son Jihad and his girlfriend were innocent victims of gun violence. while driving his car to go get a bite to eat his car was shot up in an apparent case of mistaken identity.
This kid has done everything right, he graduated from high school early, earned a full ride scholarship to an HBCU playing Quarterback and never gets into trouble.
He was shot in his throwing hand and is working to ensure he does not miss the season.
UPDATE: He went to see the hands specialist at Harborview (they are the best in the state), they removed his stitches and even though he had numb spots in his thumb and other fingers, they believe he can be ready for the season with extensive PT and working with a QB coach to get him back to his original level. This prosses will be expensive and is not covered by our insurance.
To make matters worse, the police impounded his car for evidence when we went to pick it up along with the bullet holes and blood all throughout and other damages, WHILE IN POLICE POSSESSION THE ENTIRE REAR END WAS DAMAGED at LINCOLN TOWING they tried to put it back but it didn't work smh. AND all of his shoes where stolen out the trunk(he was going to stay with his girlfriend until he left for school) HE purchased that car with his own money and planned to drive back. Talk about victimizing the victim smh.
He is already suffering physically and mentally from the shooting and now this has made things worse we are raising funds to help get him back to college QB form and fix his car and replace his stolen property this is an A And B student who did everything right, but now everything wrong is hitting him.
