Help Jesus's family fulfill his final wish!

Jesus was just an ordinary man. No headlines will be written to mourn his passing, no mentions on the news, no fanfare at all. Instead, he’s just one of
a half a million people whose life was taken by Covid. However, to his family and friends he was so much more. A caring father and grandfather, and a loving husband, he spent the past few years taking care of his wife who was battling thyroid cancer. She beat it, in large part because of her husband’s love and support. I remember when he told me about her and what she was going through. His eyes filled with tears as he told me of her battle, and I knew right then the kind of person he was and the kind of heart that he had, and how lucky I was to have forged a friendship with this lovely, sweet man.

Jesus was my gardener. I can’t remember when I hired him; it seems like he’s been here forever, but I was always glad I did. He worked so hard and I so looked forward to seeing his smiling, albeit weathered face every Thursday morning. He always did more than I expected, and he never asked for a raise, although he got them for his hard work. He took out the trash cans because he knew trash day was Friday, but if he was in the neighborhood, he’d run by the house and take the trash cans back in after the trash guy came and emptied them. He would help me find other workers for jobs around the yard that he felt he needed help with, but he always worked alongside of whomever he recommended to make sure the job was done right. Jesus was the type of person that you wanted to have around when you wanted to get something done, and Jesus was the type of person you wanted to have around, period.

Jesus spent the past few weeks fighting for his life in the hospital, and finally succumbed to this terrible disease on Feb.5, 2021. His final wish was to go home to be buried by his family in Oaxaca, Mexico, and I want to help his family make that happen. All funds will be delivered directly to the family's chosen bank account in the name of Jesus's son-in-law, Marcelino Xinol. We originally named Jesus's daughter as the beneficiary, but she isn't of legal age, so we changed the recipient to satisfy GoFundMe's age requirement.  The funds will be used to pay Jesus's final expenses and to fulfill his wish of returning to Mexico .  I am asking you to donate whatever you can and to send this GoFundMe info to everyone you know. Any amount will help this family deal with the unexpected loss of this wonderful soul. I know that these are tough times for a lot of people. If you can’t help, I understand. Please forward it along with your best wishes to Jesus’s family. Thanks.

Gracias.
