Help Jessie get back on her feet

Our friend Jessie and her boyfriend Cristian were recently robbed. After finally deciding to to go out after a stressful few weeks in which both Jessie and Cristian lost two of their loved ones, they came back to their apartment being completley trashed and all of their valuables taken from them. Jessie has been a solid human being to many of us, always showing up for support and always listening to our problems when she has her own life happening. It's our turn to help her get back on her feet and show her that in times of despair, good people do exist and that the rest of the year can turn around and be a better one.
Some of the items stolen were both of Jessie's laptops, jewlery (some of it from her childhood), clothing, passport and luggage. The damages done to the apartment is a separate issue. This kind of violation is sickening and I can't even imagine how our friend is mentally still surviving with the majority of her friends and family still here in the states.
Our friend is what defines an independent woman. She pays for her own school, manages thriving in architecture school and working full time (I kid you not, she's always working!). Because of this she is dependent on her laptops at all times and currently life has come to a stop because of this. She is currently in the middle of her semester with school, and all of her work is also lost because of this situation.
Jessie has inspired us all by following her heart and going all the way to Italy. While this may sound like a dream, anyone who has ever stepped outside their comfort zone will understand how difficult and scary it is to be away from home and follow a path that may not have been travelled before. The timing of the burglary and the timing of the two deaths in Jessie and Cristian's family is putting our friends in an emotionally tough spot.
When the people we love are down, it's our responsibility to help them get back up. Please help us get to our goal so we can get our friend back on her feet again.
