Help Jessica Fight Stage 3 Lymphoma

Jessica, mother of three, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma with multiple masses on her spleen. She is also fighting the lingering effects of Lyme’s disease and several other health issues. Jessica has had mysterious symptoms for several years, but only recently has the cause been determined.

It wasn’t until May of 2018 that the devastating medical diagnosis of lymphoma was finally confirmed. This was about a year after her husband Jared had taken a new teaching job in Alabama. Their move away from Texas and their extended family had been filled with the excitement of settling into a new community and job, but their lives were soon turned upside down.

 For those of you who don’t know Jessica Velnosky Painter that well, she is a devoted wife and mother. This diagnosis has been especially hard since her children are aged 2, 7, and 9. She became unable to care for her family, and all the responsibility fell on her husband, since there was no family nearby.  Her passion for fulfilling her Godly destiny, and her love for her family, are Jessica’s reasons for living.

Jessica has health insurance, but it will not cover all of the treatments that she needs. Since she is fighting multiple health issues, some of the treatments are very specialized, and many of them are not covered by insurance. It takes all of Jessica’s time and energy to follow the healing protocols prescribed. She is determined to overcome all of this and is putting a great deal of effort into doing everything she can—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Along with the expense of the treatments, they have other extra expenses, such as medical travel, expensive dietary needs, and daycare for the two-year-old.

 Jessica has been receiving weekly treatments in a nearby state for about two months now. She is definitely seeing improvement and the cancer factors in her blood are decreasing. The swelling in her lymph nodes is going down. We are all very excited to see these positive signs. But the credit card is maxed out and expenses are quickly getting out of control. They really, really did not want to ask for financial help, but to keep receiving treatments and to avoid financial ruin, it seems that now is the time to ask others to help in this worthwhile cause.
