Help Jerry Harding Make It While Healing
On June 23rd, my son, Jerry Harding got shot in the chest by a 17 year old. The bullet missed his heart by mere inches. It entered right above his heart and exited out of his back, through his lung and rib cage. His lung collapsed and he could not breath, until emergency personnel cut his chest open and inserted a tube to drain the blood and inflate his lung. His injuries are severe and painful. He has broken ribs and a barely functioning lung on his left side. He was sent home on Monday June 28th and was back in the emergency room on Tuesday night ,June 29th. He was admitted back into the hospital and had to have the chest tube reinserted because fluid is filling his lungs and he is unable to breath normally without it. He was shot because his motorcycle was “too loud”

If you don’t know my son, I invite you to read about his walking journey from the Santa Monica pier in California to the Virginia Beach pier in Virginia, with 3 other gentlemen who chose to do the 2700 mile walk to raise money for the victims of the tragic Virginia Beach shooting that took place on May 31, 2019 at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center.

Mind you, none of the men knew the shooting victims or their families. They did it purely out of love for other human beings that were facing such grief of losing their loved ones to a senseless shooting.
My son will be down for many weeks while his body is healing. He will not be able to run his carpentry business, pay his bills, or take care of his son. He is facing a long road of healing, if and when he is able to leave the hospital. My son has a heart of gold and would help anyone at any time, anywhere.
I am asking you to please do the same by sharing anything you possibly could to help Jerry get by while trying to heal. It doesn’t matter what amount you can give but I ask that you find it in your hearts to help ease Jerry’s burden ahead.
