Help Jenny Beat Cancer.

Jenny is a 33 year old new mum to 8 month old Luke who has recently been diagnosed with a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma, a rare, malignant brain tumour. She lives in rented accommodation with Luke and her partner Darren in Doolin, Co. Clare and had returned to work having completed her maternity leave when she was diagnosed. Her treatment plan going forward includes 6 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week and a year of chemotherapy in tablet form, 1 pill a day for a year. Because of the location of the tumour, side effects of her treatment could include permanent sight and hearing loss and could result in early menopause. The tumour is highly likely to return in the same place even after treatment and she will have to be monitored and have regular scans for the rest of her life. Jenny suffers seizures on a daily basis, she frequently has hallucinations and often doesn't recognise Luke as her own baby. Darren, her partner, has had to give up working to take care of them both as Jenny cannot be left on her own with the baby.  Neither of their families live locally but help whenever they can. Jenny is still waiting on a medical card. 

When Jenny and Darren started their family they had no idea what was up ahead, families don't plan for these things. Darren is out of work indefinitely and Jenny won't be able to work during her treatment so they need some financial support to help their little family through this awful time.
