Help Jenn & Jordan with their IVF Journey

October 14, 2021 Update

Hi everyone, a lot has happened in the short few weeks since we launched this GoFundMe page. An update for you all;

Jenn has received yet another devastating bout of news from her oncologist. The cancer has unfortunately spread to the liver which categorizes Jenn as having stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized to the liver. Jenn will be unable to work throughout her treatment over the next year (at least) and has sadly had to close her Daycare business.

We have increased the goal of this campaign to try to help Jenn not only cover her fertility costs, but also her living and travel costs for the foreseeable future during her treatment period. We want to graciously thank everyone who has donated so far, reaching the first goal was an exciting high point for Jenn and Jordan and has already alleviated a lot of pressure.

My beloved friend Jennifer has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Jenn and her partner Jordan were in the early stages of their IVF journey in the hopes of welcoming a baby into their family. This devastating diagnosis comes with many significant challenges. Jenn's treatment includes a mastectomy, hormone therapy and possibly chemotherapy.

 

The cancer diagnosis, and the subsequent treatment, has put Jenn and Jordan's dream of having a family together and their IVF journey at risk. They hope to complete the first steps of IVF Oocytes (Egg) Retrieval and Freezing Cycle immediately, prior to any further cancer treatment to ensure some eggs can be preserved. This is very time sensitive situation and this family is faced with many hurdles ahead, physically, mentally and financially.

 

Please consider a donation if you are able to offer any financial assistance to support Jenn and Jordan's IVF journey. This process is estimated to cost $4,500, plus all travel costs for fuel, accommodation and meals. All funds raised will go directly to Jenn's medical costs for the retrieval and freezing cycle. Any additional funds raised will be used later on for the expenses associated with their IVF journey.
