Help Jaymes Israel's Revival Project & Film

INTRODUCTION 

Hello friends, this is Jaymes Israel (aka Paul Ettinger!).  I'm a Jewish believer in Jesus Christ and film maker from London.  I began my career working under Guy Ritchie in 1999, and shot my first documentary on the set of his second feature, Snatch (starring Brad Pitt), which opened the door for me to work with some of the biggest names in music and film.

As I came to know the Lord seven years ago, he called me out of that world, drew me close and cleaned me up, ready to send me back as his co-labourer.  Why?  Because God is about to reclaim the arts, in particular film and music, to reach the secular in new and powerful ways. 

The project for which I need your support is the humble beginnings of just this.   What's it about? 

REVIVAL - THE MOVEMENT AND THE MOVIE -  now newly titled "HOME." 

I believe that beneath the surface of this Corona crisis the Lord is sowing the seeds of an epic end times REVIVAL.  It's a shaking so powerful it will wake up those that know him to move in the fullness of their calling, and prepare the hearts of the lost to receive the gospel in power, before the imminent return of the Lord.  Over a year ago I stepped out in faith to travel the nations and document this move of God.  So far I've seen both deliverance and salvation.  Now I need your help to keep going...  



BACKSTORY 

In late 2019 I began shooting a documentary in Oxford, following the life of a homeless crack cocaine and heroin addict called Joshua.  Through this young man God opened the door to a dozen more, all in a similar situation (all self-proclaimed beggars and drug addicts).  The Lord then let me know that he was bringing revival to the UK, beginning in Oxford - using the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.  So, I began speaking this word of hope and revival into the lives of these men and women, into the church and on the streets of Oxford.  

Then in September 2020, whilst waiting for breakthrough, the Lord called me to Madrid, Spain.  I booked a ten day trip.  The Lord had other plans.  Through a divinely intricate set of circumstances I was introduced to a couple of crack cocaine addicts living in a doorway outside my hotel. 

THE REVIVALISTS 

Nacho and Arantxa were expecting their second child.  Their first was taken from them by the Madridian authorities due to their homelessness and addiction.  They were prepared to lose this child too.  This is when the Lord let me know that his revival was an international revival.

At first, Nacho and Arantxa thought I was crazy. They saw me as a job, a cash machine.  They tried to take me for everything they could.  But day by day, things began to change.  Their hearts softened.  They trusted me, and granted me intimate access to their world, allowing me to film the process.  Then one night, in that doorway, as I played worship music and they smoked their drugs, the Holy Spirit fell and spoke to them in an audible voice.  There was a seismic shift. 

Two days later, Nacho and Arantxa decided to step out in faith.  I bought them both a ticket to Valencia where they stood a much better chance of keeping the baby and starting a new life.  I went to Barcelona to continue my work, then joined them ten days later having received a phone call from Nacho to let me know they were still clean.  On the night I arrived baby Alvaro was born.  Healthy and drug free.  I then spent five months living with them and discipling them. 

In February I left the family in Valencia, to continue my mission in Paris, leaving them to cultivate the revival in Spain.  They now have a home.  Government support. Jobs.  In fact Nacho has a full time job managing a team of nine.  They are reading the word, attending church online and praying daily.  I baptised both Nacho and Arantxa, and with the help of a couple of church leaders they have just started their own house church/bible group in Valencia.  They are reconciling with family, and are on the street giving a message of hope to other broken and needy men and women in the city.  Their miraculous testimony is transforming the lives of those around them.  This is Revival.  Real. Raw.  On the streets.

THE VISION - SEED AND HARVEST

I have just spent a month in Portugal, where I also walked the Camino Santiago, a two week pilgrimage from Porto to Santiago, Spain.  I filmed and witnessed to the locals and the many pilgrims I met on the road - including over two dozen young Germans.  I am currently back in Paris (and Marseille) where for much of the year I've been speaking about revival everywhere I go from streets to churches and even synagogues, filming with the homeless, addicted, refugees and everyday civilians.  I am amazed at how open hearts are, and have teamed up with a group of powerful young evangelists, passionate about building the kingdom of God in the City of Love.  

I now understand that this mission is about preparing the soil for revival, by speaking the word into the atmosphere of the cities that the Lord is leading me to, inspiring his future revivalists, and spreading the testimonies of breakthrough as I go.  When revival will break in great power and scope, only the Lord knows.  It is in seed form now, and He has me documenting the very origins of it.  What a privilege!  What a movie it will make.   

What's next:  I now have more than enough material to begin editing a feature length (90mins) documentary (see below) and am just beginning that process.  I am also raising funds for the next leg of my journey which God has clearly shown me is to be The Americas, beginning in Brazil, where I hope to be by the New Year.    

DOCUMENTARY AND NARRATIVE FEATURES

Everything I am filming is either material for the production of the feature length documentary - HOME - framed around my story with Nacho and Arantxa, or content for social media to build awareness of my work with God.  Upon completion the feature film will be shopped around various streaming services (amazon, netflix, apple), or delivered via an innovative online self-release, much like the series The Chosen.    

In the meantime, since I have the capability of shooting and editing on the move, I will continue to produce a series of short clips/films charting my journey from Europe to Brazil and onto North America, the Far East and finally Jerusalem.

Over time this will create awareness and indeed a global audience for HOME and for all future output.  I am also being led to write a screenplay of what is unfolding, to make the first in a series of well budgeted narrative features.  

All the aforementioned will be aimed at powerfully piercing the hearts of a world-wide secular audience.  An audience who through these uncertain times will have been primed to receive the gospel and an insight into the heart of God through the medium of film and music.

Why begin a revival with the homeless and the addicted?  Because it’s such a powerful metaphor.  We are all homeless outside of Christ. 
And that tiny rock of crack cocaine, that my friends were willing to sacrifice their unborn baby to, is a stark representation of the worthless things that we worship over God; the poison that we put on wounds that only his love can heal.  Moreover it’s a demonstration of how far and deep his love will go to reach the lost and bring them to their eternal HOME in him.       

WHAT I NEED AND WHY 

I began this mission over a year ago and have invested 15K of my own money into it, and that's everything I have.  I have had further support from my church and various christian and non-christians sympathetic to this type of mission/ministry.  I need financial help right now to take this to the next level and continue my mission helping those in need - shooting, editing, writing and then getting my work out to the world.   

THE ART FARM

This will also launch my company The Art Farm, a vision the Lord gave me many years ago.  The Art Farm is an organically sustained creative eco-system, with the creative majesty of the Lord in the centre.  It will be  comprised of Art Farm Film, Art Farm TV, Art Farm Music, Fashion and Management, where each division will support, fund and feed into the other.  The Art Farm will produce first class art, infused by the spirit, aimed at lifting the gaze of the non-believer. The creative industries have really been shaken at this time, and I know God is readying the landscape for a new and disruptive thing.  This is it.     

BREAKDOWN OF NEEDS  

- Shooting - new camera and sound equipment.

- Travel and accommodation. 
- Outreach to the poor - food, clothing + occasional shelter.     

WHAT I WILL PRODUCE AND WHEN 

- Continual production of short films and clips - You Tube, Tik Tok, Instagram.
   New projects to be released via social media weekly.  

- Feature length documentary for distribution online/on major streamers to be finished end of 2022.   

- Feature length screenplay to be produced in 2022 and produced 2023/24.
