From Jason’s boyfriend Jakk: Updates: Navigating this situation during these times is very hard. Nobody is allowed to go see him, he has been there for 10 days today. This also makes information hard to get and what we do get is usually by proxy. The surgery the other day was just exploratory, which they couldn’t tell us at the time (proper paperwork has now been filled out.) He is okay, but will be having multiple surgeries next week to determine where to go from there. So to answer a big question, no unfortunately he will not be home for Christmas. Once they know more about what the next steps are, they have to do those, and then he has a lengthy recovery time, a lot of which we have to anticipate to take place at the hospital I will update on all of that when I can, but unfortunately, it’s a matter of hurry up and wait. Basic things are very exhausting for him. please don’t take basic functions for granted. He is aware that he has an army of people behind him, although he is unaware of the scope and size (Emotional information is a burden for him right now with everything going on) And today I was able to inform him that the car payment, phones, and rent will be paid this week, and all he has to do is relax, do what the doctors say and recover. This road isn’t easy, and we are really in the middle Of it right now. But one of his favorite movies is rocky horror and as they say “There’s a light in the darkness of everybody’s life” Thank you all for helping me keep that light burning.
