Help Janae live out her dreams to become a pilot

Hello Everyone! My name is Janae and I am fundraising for flight school. For years, I worked for the Air Force as a Financial Analyst and then as a Program Manager. While I happily served the country as a civilian, I also developed a passion for airplanes and an obsession with flying. Now, I am on a mission to become a commercial pilot, and I am asking for your help. Unfortunately, flight school is even more expensive than college institutions. Pilot training programs cost between $85,000 - $100,000 for one year of instruction. I have been saving money for years to afford flight school. I began flight school in Oct 2022. However, I am still unsure how I will pay the tuition and fees throughout the training. I plan to use my savings and work while attending flight school full-time, but despite my best efforts, I will still be unable to bear the cost alone.

I am on a mission to make my dreams come true while giving back to my community, but I cannot do it alone. Please help get the word out and educate the public on the excessive price tag placed on aviation education. Due to the high cost of schooling and no access to federal funding, there is a huge equity gap in the aviation industry. Approximately 89% of pilots are white, 1.2% are black, and less than 1% of pilots are black women. There is very little representation of black Americans in the pilot seat and I am on a mission to change this. Your generous contributions will reap positive outcomes.
