Jana has had a rough 2 years. Well, we ALL have had a rough 2 years, but add 2 strokes in October of 2019, heart surgery, a horrendous infection requiring emergency surgery, hospitalization with I.V. antibiotics, and painful wound dressing changes. That’s only the beginning...next came a CANCER diagnosis in January, 2021. The dreaded “C” word, and in stage 4. Jana needed to go every few days to get fluid drained from her lung until eventually an implanted chest tube was inserted. She responded well to the immunotherapy, but later on it was discovered the primary site of the cancer was not her pancreas but rather the uterus. This changed her plan of treatment. Jana was diagnosed with Stage 4 Uterine Carcinocarsoma in May of this year. With this new discovery of the primary site came another surgery to have a total hysterectomy and radiation was added to her treatment protocol. Jana is currently still receiving her radiation. Jana and her wife, Adrienne have dealt with this on top of everything else that came with the pandemic and they have faced it with courage, grace, and hope.
Long story short, Jana is a worker. For most of her life she worked two jobs, one with kids that were having a hard time in life and her other job was working with developmentally challenged adults. She has been unable to work since October 2019. Adrienne is working hard, but bills are mounting up.
Jana has been one of my closest friends since the age of 2, and she is a person who reaches out and is a friend to anyone. She has a knack of being able to make people just naturally feel comfortable around her. She has handled these past two years with strength and dignity.

If you’re able to donate any amount to help support them, it would be so appreciated. If you’re unable to contribute financially, say a prayer, send a card or some positive energy their way, because that helps too. Knowing they are not on this journey alone is important.

Thank you for your support!
